A store has more to manage than individual product pages. Customers need useful paths through collections, clear reasons to choose a product and answers to the questions that come before buying. The team needs a manageable way to keep that information current.
Learn the product before organising the page.
We look at how the range is described, the differences a customer needs to compare and the terms they use when researching a purchase. That work informs collection structure, product detail and related information.
On STANDO, we planned collection pages around commercial searches and the related buying questions, then developed unique explanations for individual products. The content was grounded in the offer rather than a repeated paragraph across the range.
Use the platform's native building blocks.
Shopify metafields add information to existing records. Metaobjects can group related information into reusable structures. Liquid and theme sections bring that content into the storefront.
For STANDO, custom sections extended Dawn so shared content could support product and promotional pages. Those components introduced no new app dependency. The purpose was a structure the team could reuse as products and campaigns changed.
Make the next product easier to explain.
Reusable structures are valuable when someone understands what belongs in them. We consider the fields, content guidance, relationships and review process together.
A new product still needs accurate information and its own useful explanation. A promotional page still needs an offer, assets and checks. The structure helps the team assemble those pieces without starting the design again.
